Commercial & Industrial Plumbing in Gippsland

Backflow Testing, TMVs, Maintenance & Repairs for Businesses

Commercial Plumbing

When something goes wrong with the plumbing at your business, every hour it's out of action costs you money.

Joe from Bluey's Plumbing & Gasfitting is a licensed plumber and gasfitter who runs the business himself, so you deal with one person who knows your site, not a different contractor every visit.

Joe looks after restaurants, cafés, pubs, hotels, offices, aged care and healthcare facilities, builders, factories, farms and dairies across Gippsland, including
Warragul,  Drouin, Moe, Morwell, Traralgon, and Pakenham.

He's a Master Plumbers member and a member of the Backflow Prevention Association of Australia. To assist your business work can be scheduled outside trading hours to keep disruption to a minimum.

Industrial Plumbing

Industrial sites can't afford plumbing problems that stop production.  We install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain plumbing in factories, warehouses, workshops, farms and dairies across Gippsland.

For factories, warehouses and workshops, that includes high-pressure water lines, stormwater management.

On farms and dairies, Joe handles water supply lines, pumps and tanks, hot water for wash-down, drainage, and backflow prevention where chemicals could contaminate the water supply.

Joe brings CCTV drain cameras, high-pressure jetting and excavation equipment to every job, so problems are found and fixed quickly. All work is done to Australian standards, with a clear quote before work starts.

Backflow Testing

Backflow is when water flows the wrong way, from your property back into the public drinking water supply.

It can happen when a pressure change, such as a burst water main, heavy demand on the network, or pumps and equipment on your site, pushes or draws water backwards through your pipes. If that water has been in contact with chemicals, irrigation systems or process equipment, it can contaminate the supply for everyone.

A backflow prevention device stops this from happening, but it only works if it's maintained. Testable devices generally need to be inspected and tested at least once a year by a licensed tester, with the results lodged with your water authority.

Joe holds a backflow prevention licence and can install, test, repair and replace devices, and handle the paperwork for you.

Commissioning and Replacements

New plumbing systems need to be commissioned, meaning tested and checked to make sure they work as designed and meet Australian standards.

Joe commissions new backflow devices, TMVs and plumbing systems, and replaces ageing or failed components in existing ones.

Whether it's a new fit-out, a replacement valve or an upgrade to meet compliance requirements, Joe will make sure your plumbing works properly and suits your site's needs.

  • How often does a backflow prevention device need testing?

Gippsland Water for most of the region, or South East Water around Pakenham.

  • Does my business need a backflow prevention device?

It depends on what happens on your site. Properties where water could be contaminated, such as those using chemicals, irrigation, medical equipment or commercial kitchens, or car washes and dairies, usually need one.

Your water authority sets the requirements, and Joe can assess your site and advise.

  • Title or Question

Describe the item or answer the question so that site visitors who are interested get more information. You can emphasize this text with bullets, italics or bold, and add links.
  • What is a TMV and who needs one?
